Donor Opportunities

Hospice of Rockingham County is very proud to say we have never had to turn away a patient due to a lack of insurance coverage or ability to pay. We would be unable to make this claim, however, without strong community support in the form of gifts and donations to offset the cost of providing patient care and bereavement support to the Rockingham County community. Hospice of Rockingham County is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization, therefore donations are tax deductible to the extent allowable by law.

In-Kind Donations: Hospice of Rockingham County does accept in-kind gifts. Examples are durable medical equipment (hospital beds, wheelchairs) or patient supplies (adult diapers, hospital gowns, nutritional supplements such as Ensure or Boost). Stocks/Securities: to make a donation of stock or other securities, please call Kathy Wilson at (336) 427-9026 ext: 242 for broker details.

Planned Giving: There are several methods of executing planned gifts. You may make a bequest naming HRC in your will, name HRC as beneficiary of a life insurance policy, make a gift of real estate, or establish a charitable lead trust or a charitable remainder unitrust and/or annuity trust. You should always discuss financial and estate issues with your accountant and/or attorney in deciding what is best for your situation.

All gifts will be acknowledged to the donor and memorials will be acknowledged to the family.

Memorial Garden Pavers: Near the entrance to our Hospice Home is a memorial garden containing dozens of engraved brick pavers. For a $100 contribution to our Almost Home capital campaign, you may have a paver placed in honor or memory of friends and loved ones. Each paver may be inscribed with up to three lines of text; each line may contain up to 18 letters, characters, and/or spaces. Pavers will be ordered approximately twice a year, or as we have a full order.

Now supporting HRC is as easy as surfing the 'net or shopping online! What if Hospice of Rockingham County earned a penny each and every time you searched the Internet? Or what if a percentage of every purchase you made online went to support HRC? Well now it can be that easy!
