Annual Friends of Hospice Campaign

Hospice of Rockingham County has kicked off its annual Friends of Hospice Campaign. For more information on what the campaign is about and how you can support us, please see the letter below:

Dear Hospice Friend:

Imagine a loved one has been diagnosed with a life-limiting illness.  Where do you turn? If you’re like most in our community, you turn to Hospice of Rockingham County.

Why? Because you know your loved one will receive the same first-rate end-of-life care we have been providing to patients in and around Rockingham County since 1987. Additionally, you know we also provide invaluable support to caregivers and family members.
Your contributions have helped Hospice of Rockingham County provide care to patients regardless of their insurance coverage or ability to pay for care.  Since admitting our first patient in 1987, we have never turned away a patient in need of care.
You are helping our interdisciplinary team touch the lives of hundreds of patients each year – whether a patient needs care in their own home, an assisted living or skilled facility, or in our unique Hospice Home. You are helping our bereavement team offer support to families for thirteen months after a patient’s death as well as to others in our community needing support and assistance. You are helping us partner with the local school system to offer a grief camp for local children struggling with loss.
Hospice of Rockingham County is your hospice. We exist to serve you, your loved ones, your friends and neighbors – to provide comfort, compassion, and support, as well as community education.
Your gift is extremely important because it offers immediate resources that can be directed to current uninsured patient needs and will make an immediate impact on the lives of those in our community needing end-of-life care.
Our nurses, hospice aides, social workers, chaplains, volunteers, and medical directors – actually, everyone here who works to serve our community – join me in thanking you for your generous partnership and support.
Hospice of Rockingham County is committed to serving as your only local hospice for many years to come. We are also committed to never turning away a patient needing care. Please help make this possible with your contribution and support of our 2017 Friends of Hospice Annual Drive. You may donate online or you may mail a check to HRC, PO Box 281, Wentworth, NC 27375.
We invite you to follow our progress on our Facebook page as well as our website and to utilize both as resources for hospice and grief/bereavement topics.
