HOPE (Helping Other Parents Endure) - for bereaved parents and grandparents who have lost a child.  First Monday of each month at 7:00pm.

GOAL (Going On After Loss) - for anyone grieving a loss.  Third Tuesday of each month at 7:00pm

HOPE & GOAL meet at Sunnycrest Church of Christ at 1583 Freeway Drive, Reidsville, NC 27320

April 14th, 2012 - 2nd Annual Camp Good Grief  for children - 9:00am - 4:00pm at Camp Guilrock.  CGG is a free one-day camp for children grieving the death of a loved one.  CGG will serve children from 2nd grade through 12th grade and is designed to develop a trusting atmosphere so children can safely address experiences and feelings related to their grief.  Children will be grouped (by age) with trained volunteers and together they will participate in arts & crafts, group discussions, healing circles, and recreation time.  Sessions will be led by qualified Hospice staff, counselors from the Rockingham County School System, and other local professionals.

 

There is no fee to attend Camp Good Grief.  Snacks, beverages, and lunch will be provided.  For additional information or to obtain an application, please call the Hospice office at (336) 427-9022.  Applications must be returned by March 16th.

 

May 6th, 2012 - 3rd Annual Remembrance Tea - 2:00pm - 4:00pm in the Hospice Home community room.

 

November 1st, 2012 - Annual Memorial Service - 6:30pm at Calvary Baptist Church, 7860 NC Hwy 87, Reidsville, NC 27320.

 

December 6th, 2012 - 19th Annual LifeLight Ceremony - 6:30pm

 

 

 

 

 

Upcoming Volunteer Training

All prospective volunteers are required to complete volunteer training classes.  HRC traditionally offers training classes three times each year. 

 

 

Our 2012 training schedule has been set and will be held as follows:

 

    Session 1 will be held from 1:00-4:00pm on January 31, February 2, 7, 9, 14, &16

  

    Session 2 will be held from 6:00-9:00pm on May 29, 31, June 5, 7, 12, & 14

 

    Session 3 will be held from 6:00-9:00pm on September 25, 27, October 2, 4, 9, & 11
