Hospice of Rockingham County has an amazing corps of volunteers but we are always eager to expand this group. If you are considering volunteering with HRC, click here for more information on the various ways we could utilize your talents.
All training is available via online modules, so it’s all “social distancing compliant.”
For those interested in office assistance or volunteering in Gibson House, we certainly want you to feel safe in doing so. For your peace of mind, please know that social distancing and proper mask use are strictly enforced. All new volunteers, whether direct patient care or administrative support, are required to be fully vaccinated against Covid-19.

In this time of social distancing, isolation, and uncertainty, being together,
especially for emotional support during times of loss, is certainly a challenge.
Hospice of Rockingham County is offering an opportunity to connect with others in similar situations. Free and open to the community, online meetings will be held on Wednesdays at 7:00pm via virtual meetings (using Zoom).
Christin Hunnicutt, MSW, Grief Services Coordinator, will lead discussions
on how the grieving process is being impacted by our current situation.

After connecting, you will be placed in a “waiting room” … if dialing in, you will likely hear “hold music” and if joining by computer, you will see a message about “waiting for host”. Either way, bear with us and you’ll be admitted ASAP!
