Hospice of Rockingham County is excited to offer our 10th Annual Camp Good Grief on May 5th – 6th. 2023 will feature some additions and changes to our format from past years.
For the first time, Camp Good Grief will meet at Betsy-Jeff Penn 4-H Educational Center on Friday evening from 6-9pm and on Saturday from 9am – 5pm.
Friday evening will offer a session specifically for children as well as a separate session for parents/guardians. The evening children’s session will feature the movie Inside Out, while the adults may meet with counselors to discuss supporting children who are grieving. Pizza, popcorn, and drinks will be available.
Saturday will feature activities at Betsy-Jeff Penn as well as special sessions about grief, feelings, & memories. Lunch will be served and snacks will be available.
Camp Good Grief is open to any child grieving the loss of a loved one, ages 1st – 8th grade. High schoolers may volunteer to be buddies for younger campers – click here for a buddy application. The cost for camp is $10 (there are limited scholarships available).

Applications must be received by the HRC office no later than April 21st, 2023.
