HRC Named Among Best Places to Work 2022

Posted on May 20, 2022 by Flavel Collins

Hospice of Rockingham County has been selected by Modern Healthcare as one of the 2022 Best Places to Work in Healthcare, sponsored by Healthcare Plus Solutions Group. The complete list of this year’s winners, in alphabetical order, is available at ModernHealthcare.com. Modern Healthcare will publish a special supplement featuring a ranked list of all the winners along with the October 3 issue of MH.

“After the many stressors placed on the healthcare workforce during the pandemic and the resulting Great Resignation, we know those employees are battling burnout, increased work volumes and their own physical and mental health challenges,” said Modern Healthcare Publisher Fawn Lopez. “The organizations that have focused significant resources and energy to support their staff throughout these especially challenging times deserve the loyalty of their teams and the recognition of the entire industry. At Modern Healthcare, we are honored to celebrate the Best Places to Work for demonstrating their commitment to their employees, and the communities they serve, with exemplary people care measures.”

This award program identifies and recognizes outstanding employers in the healthcare industry nationwide. Modern Healthcare partners with the Best Companies Group on the assessment process, which includes an extensive employee survey.

“We are so excited to be named to Modern Health Care’s Best Places to Work for 2022,” said Lynn Flanagan, Hospice of Rockingham County’s President & CEO. “Our mission is to be a supportive presence for our patients and families; but equally, we strive to be that presence for our staff. We have an amazing team of talented and compassionate individuals that works hard day in and day out to provide the best possible patient care experience in our community. To be recognized as an outstanding employer in the healthcare industry at the national level is validation of the culture we are creating at HRC.”

Hospice of Rockingham County will find out their ranking on the Best Places list and be celebrated at the 2022 Best Places to Work in Healthcare awards gala taking place on September 29 at the Hilton Nashville Downtown.

HRC Awarded Hospice Honors

Posted on May 20, 2022 by Flavel Collins

Hospice of Rockingham County has been named a 2022 Hospice Honors recipient by HEALTHCAREfirst, a leading provider of billing and coding services, CAHPS surveys and advanced analytics. Hospice Honors is a prestigious program that recognizes hospices providing the highest level of quality as measured from the caregiver’s point of view.

“Hospice Honors recipients are industry leaders in providing quality care and constantly seeking ways to improve,” said Ronda Howard, Vice President Revenue Cycle and CAHPS at HEALTHCAREfirst. “We are honored to be aligned with such high performing agencies like Hospice of Rockingham County and we congratulate them on their success.”

Award criteria were based on Hospice CAHPS survey results for an evaluation period of October 2020 through September 2021. Award recipients were identified by evaluating performance on a set of 24 quality indicator measures. Performance scores were aggregated from all completed surveys and were compared on a question-by-question basis to a National Performance Score calculated from all hospices contained in the HEALTHCAREfirst’s Hospice CAHPS database. Hospice Honors recipients include those hospices scoring above the HEALTHCAREfirst National Performance Score on 20 of the evaluated questions.

Hospice of Rockingham County’s President & CEO, Lynn Flanagan, said, “We consider it a privilege and our calling to serve, to comfort, and to support the citizens of Rockingham County and surrounding areas. Being recognized by HEALTHCAREfirst and the families we’ve served as consistently providing excellent care is an honor. Hospice of Rockingham County will always strive to live up to the community’s expectations by providing the highest quality end-of-life care.”
